South Shore physicians' group joins New England Quality Care Alliance

New England Quality Care Alliance (NEQCA), a network of nearly 1,600 independent community and academic physicians affiliated with Tufts Medical Center and Floating Hospital for Children, announced today that Healthcare South, P.C. has signed a multi-year affiliation to join the Braintree based physician group.

Three Eastern Massachusetts doctors groups commit to NEQCA, Tufts Medical Center

New England Quality Care Alliance, a 1,600-physician network affiliated with Tufts Medical Center and Floating Hospital for Children, announced today that three key doctors’ groups have elected to renew their membership in NEQCA. The groups will use Tufts Medical Center and Floating Hospital for Children as their preferred hospitals when patients need academic level care.

NEQCA Awarded Behavioral Health Grant

New England Quality Care Alliance (NEQCA), the community and academic physician network affiliated with Tufts Medical Center, announced today that it has been selected by Harvard Pilgrim Health Care (HPHC) to receive $85,000 in funding to support the integration of behavioral health and medical services for patients with chronic illness.

Tufts Medical Center Ranks #6 in the Nation for Quality and Safety

Tufts Medical Center has gained the prestigious honor of being among the top 10 academic medical centers in the country when considering quality and safety measures, according to the University HealthSystem Consortium’s 2010 Quality and Accountability Study. The study, which reviews quality and patient satisfaction data across a broad range of measures, compared scores from its 98 academic medical center members, representing nearly 90 percent of all AMCs in the United States. Tufts Medical Center, ranked 6th, was the only UHC member hospital in New England to rank in the top 10 in the study.

MetroWest Medical Center and Tufts Medical Center Expand Clinical Partnership

MetroWest Medical Center (MWMC) and Tufts Medical Center, which have worked together for more than a year to bring advanced pediatric care to the MetroWest community, today announced they would extend their partnership to enhance adult services available in the MetroWest area.  Tufts MC will work with MWMC to bring advanced specialty services to MWMC so residents do not have to travel to Boston for many services. When patients do need the highest level of care only available at an academic medical center, Tufts Medical Center will be MWMC’s preferred referral partner.
